About Me
It's just what I like to do.
I drew in the back of exercise books at school. I painted on wood found in skips. I like the challenge of decoding what I see from 3 dimensions into 2, and then there is how you mix the paint. I admit it, I like to splash it on with a big brush and see what happens.

I work mainly in oils. I like the feel of how it goes on the canvas. It smells nice as well. In the past I have painting a great many portraits but now I'm more interested in painting simple landscapes and still life. Whatever tickles my fancy. I also frame my own work in reclaimed palette wood that I find in the street. It can take almost as long to frame a picture as it does to paint one. But I like the honesty of it. I hope you like what you see.
